While getting my IV fluids today, I brought along my Craftsy.com project. In the 4 hrs it took to get me re-tanked, I got a lot done despite the fact that I forgot my thread. (found some embroidery floss in my purse) My son, Jon, brought my thread to me before he went to work so that I could continue. Here is what I got done and also a few pics I took of the room I was in.

My netbook bit the dust but I have found a new way to use the lap pad:

It is a perfect workspace for paper piecing or any kind of handwork. The wrist pad keeps things from rolling off (like pencils) and it is also an excellent pin cushion. The attached LED light helps with night work. And, because it is cushioned underneath, it stays on my lap so much better than anything else I have ever tried to use.

I can sit in my rocking chair (my favorite place) and arrange the quilt pieces; then I can carry it to the sewing machine without disturbing the pieces.

Hello to all family & friends once again! I am quilting again….finally. I am working on a project from a website called Craftsy.com. The project I am doing is the Block of the Month, which is a FREE video class on different quilting techniques. The project began in January so I am just a wee bit behind 🙂 I am trying to catch up and enjoying this course very much. Thanks to my quilting friends (& Sisters in the Lord), Arlene, Sandy, and Jean, for telling me about this project.
If you have never quilted, I believe that Craftsy has classes for beginners also.

Here are the blocks I have finished so far:
